Wyoming NORML is the Wyoming affiliate of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. The current Wyoming NORML board consists of Director Mark Baker, Deputy Director Scott Sidman, Political Director Rose Cain, Director-at-large Frank Latta, Secretary Carrie Satterwhite, and Treasurer Bennett Sondeno. A new board took over in the fall of 2015, and since the last petition drive, we have worked with the legislature to help pass two hemp bills, we worked to defeat two attempts over two years by WASCOP motivated legislators to felonize edible cannabis products, testified at many committee and legislative meetings, held citizen lobby days at the capitol during the session annually, surveyed statewide and local legislators on their cannabis legislation voting likelihood in the lead-up to the last election and published that data which yielded more supporters being elected, and worked with law makers to see more cannabis related bills introduced than ever before in Wyoming history. Because Frank and Mark are both former serving legislators, we have a unique insight into the system as well as connections to current legislators. We will continue to work with both houses of the legislature to see cannabis reform bills pass in favor of the people of Wyoming, and we are a part of a coalition that is forming among groups in the state that will lead a serious project in the near future to allow for medical access in Wyoming.
